The picture above is of my wife, Bobbie and me.
I grew up in New Jersey, just outside New York City and attended the First Baptist Church of New Milford as a little child all the way till age 20 when I got my draft notice in 1969. In October of that year I married Bobbie and we have been together ever since. Along the way, we had four children – two boys and two girls ranging in age from 52 to 41. We have 7 grandchildren, 5 girls and 2 boys ranging in age from 21 to 5. Three of them are in college and the youngest starts Kindergarten next year. And they all live in the Huntley area.
After my time in the Army, I went to work as a service tech for a modem manufacturer. I was promoted to the Midwest Service Manager and moved to Illinois the mid 1970’s and attended a Baptist church in Glen Ellyn until my wife and I moved to Huntley in late 1979. We attended several Baptist churches until finding our place at First Baptist Church of Marengo. While there, I enrolled in the Great Rivers Region’s pastor’s course and was ordained by First Baptist Church, Marengo in 2000.
Since then, I have filled in at several ABC Churches when pastors took vacation and as short time interim pastors.
Also, I have worked as the manager of Blackhawk Camp since 2011, which some of you may know me from.
While at First Baptist Marengo, I have held the positions of Interim Pastor, full term Pastor and Co-Pastor.
